Displaced Worker

When a company permanently lays off a worker or when the company gives a notice of termination or layoff from employment to the worker, the worker becomes �displaced.� Displaced workers who lost their jobs as a result of increased imports from, or shifts in production to, foreign countries and are receiving assistance through the TAA program may be eligible for the HCTC.
